Hello, I'm Nia! Welcome to my practice.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 41037) in the state of California and I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and also Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) to work with couples, families and individuals. Born in New York to Chinese immigrant parents, I grew up moving frequently between California and Asia. Experiencing multiple transitions between cultures has equipped me with valuable bicultural understanding, as well as fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese for my work with Asian-American clients. My cross-cultural experience allows me to serve as a healing bridge across the culture gap between many immigrant parents and their American-born children.

My Christian faith is also an integral part of who I am. Although spirituality and faith can be an essential resource to clients, I respect and honor my clients in their journey and will only provide spiritual guidance if asked specifically to work from this faith framework. I commit to demonstrating love, care and compassion toward everyone who comes to my office, no matter what beliefs they hold. I look forward to walking with you on your journey to hope and healing.
